The Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is seeking volunteers to help with upcoming events in the Colorado Springs area. See details below for each event and click the corresponding link to volunteer.
Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack
Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack is a half-mile, side-by-side roll race and trap speed competition featuring hundreds of the fastest, most powerful street cars in the nation. The Pikes Peak Airstrip Attack is the only event in the country where participants have the opportunity to come together at a commercial airport the size and importance of the Colorado Springs Airport while competing for the title of the Mile High Victor.

Mavic Haute Route Rockies - Stage 7
The inaugural Mavic Haute Route Rockies 2017 will start in Boulder on June 24th and finish in Colorado Springs on June 30th. The event will feature seven timed, ranked and fully-supported stages from covering 550 miles and in excess of 52,500 vertical feet of climbing on some of Colorado’s best known mountain roads, many soaring above 10,000 feet in altitude. As many as 550 cyclists are expected.
Volunteer Roles: set-up, course marshals, beer garden, parking/staging, etc.

Rocky Mountain State Games
The Rocky Mountain State Games (RMSG) is Colorado's largest multi-sport festival for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities including those with physical disabilities or visual impairment. More than 10,000 athletes are expected to participate in 35+ sports in the 2017 RMSG event and more than 900 volunteers are needed to successfully run this event. The 2017 Rocky Mountain State Games will be held primarily July 21-23 & 28-30 in Colorado Springs, CO.
Volunteer Roles: Specialized volunteers called "Operations Assistants" are needed to support each sport and provide on-site assistance to Sport Commissioners in addition to serving as the communications link with staff and operations
The need for general volunteers varies by sport but may be needed for a variety of tasks including: athlete check-in, information booths, set-up/tear-down, course marshals, scoring, timing, hospitality and many other activities. Below are a few examples of some family-friendly volunteer opportunities as well.
• Aquathlon (July 29): day of event assistance; course marshals, athlete hospitality, tear-down, etc.; family friendly
• Field Hockey (July 28-30): sideline marshals/recover errant balls; family-friendly
• Great Inflatable Race: packet pickup (July 21); race support (July 22); family-friendly
• Shooting (July 29): resetting targets, scoring, event support; family-friendly
• Track & Field (July 23): athlete check-in, scoring, medals/results, event support; family-friendly

Colorado Classic - Stage 1
From August 10 to 13, Starting in Colorado Springs, Olympic City USA, a world-class and international field of professional, male cyclists will race more than 300 miles in multiple, fan-friendly circuits, combining with each stage starting and finishing in the same location.The Colorado Classic will also feature two days of professional women's cycling, beginning in Colorado Springs on August 10 and concluding the following night with a women's-only event under the lights in Denver.
Volunteer Roles: course marshals, ancillary event support, setup, tear-down, information booths, route notification, VIP hospitality, and many other activities.
The Broadmoor Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb and the USA Cycling Hill Climb National Championships will both take place on August 12. The events will feature competive races & timed, non-competitive fun rides that give cyclists of all abilities a truly unique experience on Pikes Peak - America's Mountain.
Volunteers Roles: aid station management, athlete check-in, information booths, set-up/tear-down, course marshals, scoring, timing, hospitality and many other activities.

Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off
We are pleased to announce that the annual tradition of a Hot Air Balloon Event on Labor Day weekend at Memorial Park here in Colorado Springs will continue for its 41st year! More than 65 hot air balloons are expected to participate and 150,000+ spectators will come out to participate in balloon glows for the festival's Saturday and Sunday evening schedules. Along with the balloons, a beer garden, food and product vendors and a kids bouncy village will accompany the hot air balloons at Memorial Park over Labor Day weekend.
The Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off is and event of Hot Apple Productions and the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.
