Pro racers are required to wear a PFD. Course: Beginner course - .25 mile; Intermediate course - .5 mile; Pro course - 1.75 miles. Buoys will serve as the course route markers. Racers make their way around 3-4 buoys (one lap) and compete for the fastest times amongst all heats in men's and women's categories. Note: Maximum weight limit on provided boards is 275lbs.

All races will start on a "ready, set, go" call while on the board in the water behind the first buoy. While standing, racers will paddle in a clockwise direction around the buoys until the lap(s) are complete. Racers are encouraged to watch out for other racers to avoid any contact of SUP boards. If you are responsible for making another racer fall, you will be disqualified. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd is determined on the position of the nose of the board and the time when it crosses the finish line. Male and female youth athletes will be combined and awarded medals in one division.

Event #2 - Obstacle Race: Athletes will begin in a prone paddle position and "swim" out to get their actual the paddle then will complete a pivot turn (basic instructions will be given if needed) to paddle around three buoys, pick up items in the water with your paddle for points, "shoot" a ball into a goal, paddle under a SUP limbo bar, then race back to the start.
