Participant Entry Fees and Deadlines:
Beach:
Early Online Registration Deadline (July 1): 2v2 Juniors (High School Seniors & under 18) - $55 per team; 2v2 Adult - $65 per team; 4v4 Adult - $75 per team for the first event, $50 per team for the second event (i.e. one male or female and one coed team)
Online Registration Deadline (July 2 - July 19): 2v2 Juniors (High School Seniors & under 18) - $65 per team; 2v2 Adult - $75 per team; 4v4 Adult - $85 per team for the first event, $50 per team for the second event (i.e. one male or female and one coed team)
Day of Registration (On-Site): 2v2 Juniors (High School Seniors & under 18) - $65 per team, 2v2 Adult - $75 per team; 4v4 Adult - $85 per team for the first event, $50 per team for the second event (i.e. one male or female and one coed team)

Military Support Program:  The Military Support Program has been created to allow active duty and retired service members, their spouses and dependents to participate in the Rocky Mountain State Games at up to a 50% discount off the normal registration fees. Competition Rules and Format:  USAV rules (www.usavolleyball.org) will govern this competition. Division category is determined by the age of the oldest player on the team. Rocky Mountain State Games Commissioners reserve the right to cancel or combine divisions at their discretion based on registrations.

Indoor Volleyball:

Note:
Adult/Junior Teams: Women may play on men's teams, however, men cannot play on women's teams. These teams will play in the men’s division.  Adult and Junior teams are allowed to play up in age or skill level, but not down.
 
Senior Teams: Teams must be of one gender. Senior Games athletes may compete on up to two teams per sport providing that the teams are in different age divisions that are scheduled to play in completely separate sessions. Avoiding game conflicts is the responsibility of the player. Based on number of teams that register, the senior tournament may expand to Sunday.
 

Teams must consist of a minimum of six players and a maximum of twelve players. Only one registration form should be submitted per team. The signed roster/waiver form must be submitted to the RMSG offices no later than Friday, July 14th.  Rosters completed after July 14th must be turned in on-site to the commissioner prior to the first game.  The top teams in pool play will advance to bracket play. Advancement is dependent on the win/loss record, all games will be counted. Those not advancing will play in a consolation bracket. Matches are the best two out of three games with a rally score to 21, must win by 2 points. If a third game is necessary, play is to 15, rally score, win by 2. Teams are guaranteed 3 matches; a maximum of 4 matches will be played in pool play. Idle teams will be scheduled to officiate games.

Uniforms: All uniforms must have numbers on both the front and back of the jersey.  Numbers must be 6 inches on the front and 8 inches on the back. Libero must have a contrasting uniform color. 


Grass & Beach Volleyball:
Note: 12 & Under Division:  Players who were born on or after September 1, 2005.  15 & Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 2002. 18 & Under Division: Players who were born on or after September 1, 1999 OR players who were born on or after September 1, 1998 and a high school student during the 2017-2018 school year.  Each individual player will be registered by his/her coach and must sign the roster/waiver; if under 18 a guardian must sign the roster/waiver.

The first 32 teams in each event will be accepted. Teams may only consist of two players, except for 4 v 4 Beach Adult A & B, in which teams are limited to four players. The signed roster/waiver form must be submitted to the RMSG offices no later than Friday, July 14.  Rosters completed after July 14 must be turned in on-site to the commissioner prior to the first game. Grass & Beach teams MUST list partner on the registration form. All teams in pool play will advance to bracket play.  Matches are rally score, must win by 2 points. If a third game is necessary, play is to 15, rally score, win by 2. All matches will be self-officiated.  Sand socks are encouraged for Beach Volleyball. Junior divisions may be combined upward with appropriate adult divisions to allow for tournament play.
