If you are a first time climber at CityROCK or Sport Climbing Center, please arrive 30 minutes prior to competition to complete the waiver on-site. Also, for climbing, participants must be top rope belay certified in order to top rope belay and lead belay certified to lead belay during the rope portion of the caving competition. Certifications must be issued and valid at City Rock in advance of the competition. CERTIFICATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE, ONLY TO TOP ROPE AND LEAD BELAY. ***
Military Support Program: The Military Support Program has been created to allow active duty and retired service members, their spouses and dependents to participate in the Rocky Mountain State Games at up to a 50% discount off the normal registration fees. Competition Rules & Format:
Note: Competition format is subject to change based on final registrations and RMSG Commissioners' discretion.
Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes are required for all climbers, no exceptions. Participants are permitted to bring and wear their own shoes if they meet required climbing standards. For horizontal cave exploration, long pants are required and knee pads are recommended. Climbing shoes and caving knee pads are available to rent at CityROCK and Sport Climbing Center.
