The 4 teams* with the most cumulative points at the end of the tour series are deemed Rocky Mountain Roundnet Elite and will receive some awesome prizes including custom RMR ELITE jerseys! Participant Entry Fees and Deadlines:
Super Early Bird Registration Deadline (June 1): Fee: $20 per team
Early Bird Registration Deadline (July 1): Fee: $30 per team
Online Registration Deadline (July 26): Fee: $40 per team
Military Support Program: The Military Support Program has been created to allow active duty and retired service members, their spouses and dependents to participate in the Rocky Mountain State Games at a 50% discount off the normal registration fees. General Guidelines: Age determination date is July 29, 2017. Teams can be either coed or gender specific. RMSG reserves the right to combine or cancel divisions based on final registrations and the RMSG Commissioners' discretion. One registration will be submitted per team. Teams will play 2 v 2. Each individual player must sign the roster/waiver; if under 18 a guardian must sign the roster/waiver. The signed roster must be submitted to the RMSG office no later than Friday, July 14. Rosters completed after July 14, must be turned in on-site to the Commissioners prior to the first game. Changes to team rosters will not be permitted after the start of the team's first game.
Competition Rules and Format: Competition will be governed by official USA Spikeball rules (www.usaspikeball.com/official-rules). Each team has up to three touches per possession. Possession changes when the ball touches the net or the ground. Pool play will determine seeding for bracket play. Pool play games will be scored by rally scoring and played to 15 points; teams are required to win by two points with maximum of a 21 point game. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 7 games (weather permitting). Tournament seeding will be determined by win/loss and point differential based on pool play record. Tournament and consolation bracket play will follow pool play and best of three games will determine advancement. Semi-final and final round format will be best of three games rally scoring to 21 points.
*All participants MUST sign up for either the STARTER membership or the BALLER membership through USA Spikeball. USA Spikeball offers two tiers of membership to help support the growth and safety of the sport. Membership is required to register for USA Spikeball sanctioned events.
Dress Code: Team uniforms are encouraged but not required.
