2017 State Games of America

Grand Rapids, Michigan

August 3 - 6, 2017 

A property of the National Congress of State Games, the State Games of America is a biennial amateur multi-sport event for athletes of all ages. Medal winners from the 31 states conducting statewide sports festivals, known as State Games, are eligible for this event. The 2017 State Games of America will be hosted in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 3-6.

State Games athletes compete in Olympic or Pan American sports as well as a variety of local favorites. 

Medal winners in the following sports from the 2015 & 2016 Rocky Mountain State Games will qualify for the 2017 SGA.  This event will be hosted by the Meijer State Games of Michigan.  

Medal winners from the 2017 & 2018 Rocky Mountain State Games will qualify for the 2019 State Games of America to be hosted by Virginia Commonwealth Games in Lynchberg, VA July 31-August 4, 2019. A complete list of qualifying sports for the 2019 SGA is coming soon.
