The course will not be revealed until the day of the competition.  Athletes must complete the obstacles in the course in the order given. This Ninja Obstacle Competition will have a time limit of 3 minutes and 30 seconds for all ages.

This is a beginner’s competition. Athletes who have qualified to compete within the past year for any league’s World Championship competition must register for the ELITE divisions.

Athletes won’t know exactly what the course will be until the day of the event, but athletes will walk through the course and have a Q&A session before the first competitor runs.

Competition Rules and Format

Athletes are allowed to attempt every obstacle on the course whether they complete the obstacle or not. They just need to do so within the set time limit. For each obstacle, athletes must get from the starting platform to the ending platform WITHOUT using truss, Straps/Bolts, touching the ground/out-of-bounds mats, or any miscellaneous structures. Once an obstacle has been attempted, no mulligans will be allowed, and they will move on to the next obstacle. The maximum rest time between obstacles is 30 seconds. Athletes will accrue a 30-second penalty for skipping an obstacle. If the athlete makes a “fake” attempt, the judges will decide whether or not to enforce the penalty.

Athletes will accrue points for each obstacle they complete. Some obstacles may be worth more points than others. The athlete’s total points for the day will determine their final placement. If there is a tie on points, placement will be determined by the fastest time. Any appeals must be brought to a judge before the division is over. (If the appealing athlete is the last runner, the appeal must be made as soon as their run is over.)
